Cindy Reid Bio

Cindy Reid has been heralded as one of the best golf instructors in the world. Her internationally respected teaching philosophy has taken her all over the world and has brought her to China to build the Cindy Reid Golf Academy at Mission Hills.

Prior to teaching this great game, Cindy was a player.  She spent 7 years playing professionally on the Japanese LPGA Tour and the US Futures Tour where she  won 4 professional events. In addition, Cindy had the opportunity to play in 12 LPGA TOUR events. 

 With her 26 years of experience in the golf industry as a player, coach, author, and now an entrepreneur, Cindy Reid is committed to bringing the benefits of her experience to a new Asian clientele.

As the former Director of Instruction at the PGA TOUR’s TPC Sawgrass, Cindy has had the opportunity to work with several professional golfers including Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Sophie Gustafson, Fred Funk, Davis Love, Tom Kite, Deb Richard, Rocco Mediate and many, many more.

For ten years now she has worked with the US Golf Channel, and has also provided on-air playing tips for CBS Sports, USA Network and NBC Sports. Since moving to China, she has been a regular contributor to the Global Golf Network, CCTV and the China Golf Channel which features her golf tips daily and has created a reality show featuring Cindy using her knowledge to develop the golf game of three young female golfers.

Cindy provides golf instruction articles for over 30 publications and websites across the world, including CindyReidGolf.com (designed by Cindy Reid herself), Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, and Golf Vacation.  Feature articles have been written about her in international publications such as Bloomberg Businessweek, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal to name a few.

Cindy is the author of several golf instructional books, such as Cindy Reid’s Ultimate Guide to Golf for Women and Get Yourself in Golf Shape with a foreword written by Vijay Singh. GYGS has also been published in Chinese.

Cindy is world renown for her corporate golf outings as well as her motivational speaking.  She is a Class A member of the PGA of America and is the CEO of Cindy Reid Golf Enterprises, Ltd. (HK) and Cindy Reid Publishing House, Ltd. (HK) which publishes Cindy’s golf instruction books.
